Chickens and Farm Fresh Eggs
#Farmlife wouldnt be farmlife with out chickens! Our chickens are happy and healthy and spend their days foreging, eating bugs and enjoying a stress free life. These chickens live exactly the way chickens should, with space to roam, dust-bathe, chatter, and generally live their best lives. With lots of room, they forage freely and enjoy a diet of organic feed, hen scratch, and an ever-changing buffet of fruits and vegetables.We have two mixes of chickens here, Easter/Olive Eggers and Bovan/Rhode Island (Barn Yard Mix)
Easter Eggers - for a spash of colour we have the Easter Egger hens. The Easter Eggers and Oliver Eggers are mixed hens that lay a delicate blue egg and and an olive green egg. The Easter Eggers are excellent egg layers, friendly and active average sized birds. Our Easter and Olive Eggers are paired with stunning Amerurcana Rooster named, McDuck. Amerucana's carry a blue egg gene. This keeps their off spring guaranteed to lay a coloured egg.
Bovan and Rhode Island Red (Barn Yard Mix) - Excellent Large Brown Egg Layers
We are so happy to offer a Bovan (excellent egg layers) Rhode Island Red Island (also excellent egg layers (Barn Yard Mix) hens laying large brown eggs. The Bovan and Red Island hens reliably lay impressively large brown eggs almost daily. These hens are very large, friendly, gentle and are paired with an especially caring and gentle Blue Andalusian Rooster named, Nickleback. The mix of these three breeds create large, healthy, hardy, friendly and avid egg layers.
Farm Fresh Eating Eggs $7/doz
If you’d like to take home a little taste of the good life, I have farm-fresh eggs available for $7 a dozen. Our hens free-range, enjoy organic feed, and live very spoiled, drama-free lives, which results in excellent eggs. Just let me know if you’d like a dozen added to your pickup.
